September NCCP Paramedic VILT Refresher

Join us for our virtual in-person NCCP course. This course will be held via Zoom and allows students to interact with our world class instructors as they present their courses in real time.

This program meets all of the National Registry NCCP refresher requirements for Paramedic recertification. Courses will be held via video conference with the exception of days 6, 7, and 8. These three day will be in-person training and held at Cape Cod Community College. All video conference courses will start promptly at 0900 and are expected to end at 1200.

NOTE: If you are not affiliated with an Agency or Department that participates in the Cape and Islands EMS System, you will be responsible for the cost of this VILT 30 hour NCCP program which is $100. Requirements & Expectations: Full attendance at all 10 Days of the program, submission of final log report, complete final assessment.


  1. 09/09/24   Day 1 – Ventilation, Capnography, Oxygenation
  2. 09/10/24 Day 2 – Fluid Resuscitation, Hemorrhage Control, Trauma Triage, Crew Resource Management
  3. 09/11/24 Day 3 – Stroke, Congestive Heart Failure,  Airway/Respiration/Ventilation, Field Triage
  4. 09/12/24 Day 4 – Ambulance Safety, Evidence Based Guidelines, EMS Research, EMS Culture of Safety,  EMS Hygiene/Safety/ Vaccinations
  5. 09/13/24 Day 5 – Acute Coronary Syndrome, Cardiac Arrest, Post-Resuscitation Care
  6. **TBA Day 6 – In Person. BLS/ACLS
  7. **TBA Day 7 – In Person. PALS*
  8. **TBA Day 8 – In Person. 12 Lead EKG Review, AHMD Skills Verification, As-needed Remediation. Please bring laptop for 12 Lead Exam*
  9. 09/23/24 Day 9 – At-Risk Populations, Pediatric Transport, Psychiatric and Behavioral Emergencies
  10. 09/24/24 Day 10 – Endocrine Emergencies-Diabetes, Special Healthcare Needs, Pain Management,
  11. 09/25/24 Day 11 – OB Emergencies, Infectious Diseases,Ventricular Assist Devices, Medication Delivery, Toxicological Emergencies-Opioids
  12. 09/26/24 Day 12 – Neurological Emergencies-Seizures, Central Nervous System(CNS) Injury, Immunological Emergencies
  13. 09/27/24 Day 13 – Pediatric Cardiac Arrest

*Daily course content schedule subject to change

** All in person training is optional for all students. Each day of training will provide the student with 6 hours continuing education credit. Total three day training will provide 18 hours total continuing education.

Upon successful completion: You will receive the 2024 NCCP Paramedic Refresher Certificate.

Please note the following MA OEMS AR 2-212, Sect E, Paragraph 4 requirements:

” While attending continuing education courses, whether in-person or remotely, students are expected to provide uninterrupted attention to the material and/or instructor. Students are not permitted to engage in other activities while attending courses, including, but not limited to, responding to EMS or fire service calls, attending more than one course simultaneously or leaving a device unattended while a T3 or T5 course is in progress. If needed, students may stop a remote, pre-recorded course and restart when timing allows. Sponsors of all course types are encouraged to employ reasonable methods to encourage and monitor student engagement.”
